Our own crews and our own machines come first.
We would rather you read this here than find it out for yourself later. Every other page on this site describes something designed and written down. This page says what has and has not actually happened.
No capture session has ever been recorded. The instrument, the record it writes, and the checks that admit or refuse it are designed and specified, and that design is what this site sets out. Everything stated anywhere on this site is a specification or an argument. None of it is a measurement.
Four things we have not done.
Nothing is recorded
The first recording is the next thing we do, on our own crews and our own machines. Until then, no claim about how well any of this works could be honest.
No terms are written
The agreements are being drafted. The points they are built around are on these pages. When they are settled they go up here in plain words, and nobody signs anything before then.
Nothing is priced
The basis is settled โ hours actually in use, from the record that shows who authorized the work. The rate is not set and we are not going to invent one to fill a page.
Nobody has been asked yet
We are working it out on our own people before asking anyone else to take part, because we would rather find the awkward questions ourselves.
Because the alternative is a site that reads as further along than it is.
Every company at this stage faces the same choice, and most of them handle it with tense: writing about a design in the present tense until a reader assumes it is running. It costs nothing to do and it is very hard to undo, because the first person who finds out otherwise tells everybody.
This whole instrument asks people to trust us with something they cannot get back if we turn out not to be trustworthy. Starting that relationship by overstating where we are would be an odd way to begin.
